Mumia is an internationally-recognized award-winning journalist who has written eight books and countless articles and commentaries from a prison cell on death row in Pennsylvania. He has been writing since age 15, first as Minister of Information for the Philadelphia Black Panthers (1969-1971), then for numerous Philadelphia radio and print venues, including National Public Radio.
