He currently races in the NTT IndyCar series for the Juncos Hollinger Racing team. He is notable for previously racing in Formula One from 2009 to 2020, where he sustained a major crash during the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix when his car separated in two and caught fire after penetrating a metal guardrail on the first lap. Grosjean sustained minor burns and credited the 'halo' of the car with saving his life.
