She won the Sharam Q Josei Rock Vocalist Audition airing on the TV show ASAYAN from April to August 1997. She became a soloist in Hello! Project, releasing her debut single GET in November the same year. In 2002, she graduated from Hello! Project, and went on to become an indie soloist producing her own music. In July 2021 she retired from the music industry.
