He has participated in the pastry world championships and has been the coach for the Swedish national bakery team. In 2000, Sörberg received the Academy of Gastronomy's silver medal. Johan Sörberg is also a judge in the competition program ‘Hela Sverige bakar’ together with Birgitta Rasmusson.
