He graduated from the Acting Department of the Beijing Film Academy in 1985 and was subsequently assigned to the Tianshan Film Studio, where he became a national first-class director. Throughout his career, he has directed more than 20 film and television productions and played major roles in over 30 works. He currently resides in Ürümqi.
