As an actress, she appeared in several films throughout her career, most notably, those directed by Jean Rollin, including "La vampire nue", "Tout le monde il en a deux", "Lèvres de sang" and "Phantasmes", as well as a number of adult films, and after a long-standing hiatus, would appear with Rollin again in her final film role "La fiancée de Dracula", before retiring. During her career, she would have, on a number of occasions, appear on-screen alongside her twin sister Marie-Pierre Castel (1949–2013). Rollin would have cast Marie-Pierre in roles originally intended for Catherine when she was unavailable due to being pregnant. She has also worked with directors, such as, Serge Korber, Bernard Launois, Jean Desvilles, Jean-Pierre Bouyxou, Jean-Marie Ghanassia, Alain Payet, Francis Girod, Jean Luret, Dominique Goult and Lucio Mazzeotti. She died in 2018 at the age of 69.
