He is best known for working for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as one half of the The Motor City Machine Guns with Chris Sabin. He previously gained fame on the independent circuit working for Ring of Honor, as well as in Japan, for Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max. As of September 2024, he is signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand. In TNA he is a former one-time TNA World Champion and a former one-time X Division Champion and three-time World Tag Team Champion. Aside from wrestling, he is the lead singer of a rock band called The High Crusade, which includes his friends and fellow wrestlers Chris Sabin and Petey Williams.
