On the night of September 26 to 27, 2023, he was the victim of a burglary and kidnapping with his wife Marion and his son in his home in the village of Tessancourt-sur-Aubette in the Yvelines department. A burglar wakes the family from their sleep and points a handgun at the presenter's head while his wife and his 14 year old son are tied up and gagged in the room of the child.
